WWE.com has announced that William Morrisey, aka Big Cass/Colin Cassady, has been released from his WWE contract. While no details were given, Morrisey had recently returned from a long term injury. He was also in a feud with Daniel Bryan which seems to have culminated at this past weekend’s “Money in the Bank” pay per view.
Morrisey was also a part of a tag team with Enzo Amore, which grew in popularity on the NXT brand and made its way onto the main roster. However, that team was broken up and Morrisey suffered his injury. Enzo went on become cruiserweight champion, but was released amid allegations of sexual assault and not informing the company of it.
