The Crockett family ruled the Mid-Atlantic region for nearly fifty years which lead to the creation of the Crockett Cup in 1986. This event was sanctioned by the National Wrestling Alliance from 1986-1988 with the winners being The Road Warriors, Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff, and Sting & Lex Luger. The 2019 version featured teams from Ring of Honor Wrestling, NWA, CMLL in Mexico & New Japan Pro Wrestling.
