VANISHING POINT A New Sci-Fi Miniseries from Mark Russell

Mad Cave Studios Brings a Six-Issue Sci-Fi Anthology Series Exploring the Existential Twilight Zone of Humanity

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

FEB. 25, 2025, (PORTLAND, OR) Mad Cave Studios proudly announces Vanishing Point, a mind-bending six-issue sci-fi miniseries from Eisner, GLAAD, and Ringo Award-winning writer Mark Russell (The Flintstones, Not All Robots, Superman: Space Age).

The series features an exceptional roster of artists taking turns with each story, including Juan Doe (Wolverines),  Ryan Alexander-Tanner (The Nib, The Washington Post, New York Times), Alberto Ponticelli (Frankenstein, Agent of S.H.A.D.E.), and Jok (The Body Trade), plus colors by Sidney Davidson and Ellie Wright, and letters by Carlos M. Mangual and more. Vanishing Point showcases an anthology of darkly satirical, thought-provoking tales of survival, identity, and the moral dilemmas that define us.

Vanishing Point delivers six stand-alone tales exploring the fragile nature of humanity in the face of an uncaring universe. From an asteroid miner facing an unthinkable moral decision to a world where AI puts consciousness itself on trial, each story is a self-contained yet interconnected journey into the unknown, featuring standalone issues: Screams, The Tomorrow Family, Cell Structure, Deathwatch, Proof of Life, and Grave Remedies.

In Vanishing Point #1 “Screams”, the captain of a mining ship goes on a ten-year solo mission to the Jupiter Asteroid Belt where he makes a horrifying discovery!

The first issue features Cover A by Christian Ward and Cover B by Juan Doe.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to write a science fiction anthology series, and seeing how it’s come together with the artwork and all the ideas that have gone into this, it remains a dream,” said Mark Russell. “I’m very excited for people to read these stories and I couldn’t be prouder of them, or the people who’ve brought them to life.”

“I’ve been a fan of Mark’s for some time,” said Ryan Alexander-Tanner. “His writing is dark, funny, and insightful.  Having this opportunity to visually interpret his scripts was a real highlight of my career as a comics artist.  I’m very excited to share these twisted cautionary stories with Mad Cave’s readers.”

This series is a must-read for fans of Black Mirror, The Twilight Zone, and Love, Death + Robots. Vanishing Point #1 hits stores on May 7th.
