Sketch Duel: Creees Lee vs, Marcus To (41:20, 94.6MB)
Moderated by JM Clark. They started off taking some suggestions from the crowd, then both artists told of their origin stories as artists, then their first comics work and first Marvel and DC work, Marcus spoke about helping out a DC editor in a bind during the X-mas holidays and how that lead to the editor getting him work at Marvel when he got a job there. Marcus also spoke about the R.A.I.D. studio he is involved in Toronto. Creees also spoke about his work environment. Other topics discussed were the benefits of doing life drawing and inking, and how to get out of artist’s block. Marcus revealed that R.A.I.D. was planning on doing some very limited boutique publishing in the future. Creees also mentioned his recently funded Kickstarter comic. I stopped recording when they drew for the artwork.
