(January 17, 2025): FAN EXPO HQ has added another superstar creator to its exclusive creator roster: Clayton Crain. Crain will appear exclusively at FAN EXPO HQ events in 2025 and 2026.
A celebrated American comic book artist, Crain is renowned for his dark, atmospheric, and highly detailed art style, which blends traditional techniques with cutting-edge digital painting. Best known for his work on Ghost Rider: Road to Damnation, Venom vs. Carnage (co-creator of “Toxin”), and X-Force, Crain’s cinematic visuals and mastery of shadow and colour have made him a standout in superhero, horror, and sci-fi comics, and a highly sought after creator guest for Fan Expo HQ events. His iconic contributions extend to Marvel titles like Carnage: USA and Spider-Man Noir, as well as Valiant Comics’ Rai and Bloodshot. He is also much admired for his work with Todd McFarlane and DC Comics. A pioneer of digitally painted comic art and master of traditional acrylic and oil techniques, which have been the focus on his most recent work, Crain’s intricate designs and dynamic storytelling have redefined the medium and inspired a new generation of artists, earning him a lasting legacy in the industry.
Fans can meet him at signings and see him live on stage. He is currently announced for MEGACON Orlando (February 6-9, 2025), and his full roster of FAN EXPO HQ events will be revealed soon. These appearances will be exclusive to FAN EXPO (outside of NYCC and SDCC commitments).
