(February 10, 2020) Kazoo, the award-winning magazine, for girls who aren’t afraid to make some noise, is endorsing Elizabeth Warren for President of the United States in the 2020 election.
Kazoo Editor-in-Chief Erin Bried explains this historic endorsement: “We have followed the Democratic primaries carefully, and we whole-heartedly believe that Elizabeth Warren’s spirit, compassion, intelligence and well-researched positions on the issues that matter to us most as parents of girls make her the very best choice to be the next president of the United States. That’s why Kazoo magazine is proud to endorse Elizabeth Warren for president. As far as we know, Kazoo is the first kids’ magazine ever to make an official presidential endorsement. We sometimes hear that we should ‘stay out of politics’ because we’re a kids’ magazine, as if our children’s future is none of our business. But it is precisely because we’re a children’s magazine that we care so very much. The decisions we’re making today are the legacy we’ll hand to our children. We owe it to them to be engaged and to try to effect as much change as possible.”
