Teen artist Xylon, 15, teams up for a dembow track with Dominican artist Pakitin “El Verdadero”
Miami, FL. (July 29, 2020) “Pakitin, tirate el paso…”, this is the way rising star, Xylon, sings to the successful Dominican singer Pakitin “El Verdadero” in his new song “El Original”. A fun, different, and for all to enjoy, “El Original” is released TODAY to bring dembow to life with a new voice: Xylon. Released under The Baby Boys Inc. label, this song is now available on all digital music platforms.
The song, recorded between Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic, showcases a different and versatile Xylon since he had never sung a dembow. However, while visiting the Dominican Republic at the end of January to promote his song “Vámonos” he met one of the best dembow singers, Pakitin “El Verdadero”, and the opportunity arose to make this collaboration. Under the musical production of Labia La Fuerza, this fun and catchy song talks about Pakitin as “El Original”, who is the mastermind behind dembow in the Dominican Republic.
“The audience will be able to enjoy a different Xylon since I had never done a dembow and although I thought it wouldn’t work, I did my best and everything went well. The process to create the song was different since it was recorded remotely, Pakitin was in the Dominican Republic while I was in Puerto Rico, however, I am sure that ‘El Original’ will break it, just like the video that is on another level,” said the young artist, who every day sees his dream of performing at Coliseo de Puerto Rico, José Miguel Agrelot, closer.
Directed by Jorge Martínez, the music video arrives to break patterns in the industry since it is an innovative concept. Originally, the video was going to be filmed together with Pakitin however due to the current situation, they decided to create a comic video. In it, the characters of Xylon and Pakitin appear in a comic book while listening to “The Original”. “It is a funny video, I loved it and I am sure that the fans will enjoy it as much as I do,” emphasized Xylon.
Two years ago, the Puerto Rican artist began to develop his career within the urban music industry and he has managed to make himself known among his fans thanks to his previous hits such as “Vámonos”, with more than 1.2 million views on YouTube and his most recent single “Chau Chau Remix” along with VF7 and Juan Fran, whose video has more than 2.5 million views. For Xylon there are no limits, the 15 years old singer wants to be an example for youth and show everybody that despite adversity everything can be achieved. The rising star would like to collaborate with artists such as Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, Nicky Jam, and Ozuna, among others. Currently, he is working on his debut album.
