The Daily Comic Book Coffee, number 91: “The Web Tightens” starring Lightning, from NoMan #2, penciled & inked by Chic Stone and written by Steve Skeates, published by Tower Comics in March 1967.
Here’s another T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents related coffee page, this time from short-lived spin-off NoMan. In a back up tale, UN agent Lightning discovers a hidden base belonging to the criminal S.P.I.D.E.R. organization. Caught in an explosion during a battle with S.P.I.D.E.R. goons, Lightning sustains partial amnesia, and he cannot remember the base’s location. At a nearby coffee shop T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Squad members Kitten and Weed discuss the case, and Weed lets slip that Lightning has survived his run-in with S.P.I.D.E.R. Hey, Weed, loose lips sink ships! Unfortunately the cook at the coffee shop is a S.P.I.D.E.R. agent, and he reports this news to his superiors.
