I just finished reading The Flame #1, story by Jaime Ramos and was very impressed. This is a reintroduction to the Golden Age Flame after being retired for several years. The story is 8 pages of beautiful art, being narrated and introducing us to Gary Preston, The Flame. In the few pages you meet Flame Girl, the villain, and Pug. I’m not sure who Pug is, but I’m intrigued.
Lucky Comics is fast becoming my go to place for new comics. The first issue of The Flame has me very interested in reading more of the Public Domain hero. I was very impressed with the art, it moved the story very smoothly and the writing was superb. I’m looking forward to reading both future issues of The Flame and anything else that Jaime Ramos writes. I will also be keeping an eye out for any future stories that has Fercho Velaquez art, he is a great story teller.
