This is the second book in Rob Mancebo’s Section Seven series. As soon as I started reading the book I was back in this intense world of Kane and Terri. This is not your parent’s team of X Files, but a more intriguing duo.
Unlike most series, this is not a ‘done in one’ book. Events that happened in the first book are carried over into this one. Your best bet is to buy both books to better understand and enjoy what is happening.
Kane is the leader of a special group of law enforcement that battle creatures that go bump in the night. When he is off duty, he has a very tough martial arts neighbor and a wild two-year-old roommate. Just to add to the confusion, they are not what you think they are.
Terri is your typical 19-year-old, who is a Black Belt in Karate and marked as a sacrifice for a demon. Just your everyday teenager working for the F.B.I., NOT! That is, she works for the F.B.I., sort of, but she is not a typical teenager.
Plus throw in a couple of mass murders, demons both evil and good (more or less) and more action than you would expect.
Once you start this book, you won’t want to put it down until you finished. Once finished, you will want more.
