Yesterday, Gun interactive announced plans to release new, Halloween-themed DLC for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and its newest game mode, Rush Week!
With the Halloween Pack, players can deck out the Sorority Girls in a festive batch of new outfits: witch, cowgirl, nun, devil or kitty! At the outset of each match, you can choose which cosmetic you want and it will equip to whichever Sorority Girl you spawn in as, as each of these individual cosmetics works for all of the Sorority Girls.
Although the Halloween Pack is for the Rush Week game mode, it is NOT included with the TCSM Content Pass. Interested players will have the opportunity to purchase the Halloween Pack from their preferred platform’s storefront at $4.99 USD, beginning Tuesday, October 22nd.
And in other Texas news, the Gun team also recently published a new post on their Community Hub, explaining and illustrating some recent changes applied to the game’s grapple system. Speaking on these changes, Gun Interactive Brand Manager mattshotcha said the following:
“With this grapple rework, we aimed to make the close encounter mechanic feel more natural. We wanted the one hit kill removed, because that didn’t feel fair if a Victim had full health to be one shot by a Family member jumping in. The flip side is, it doesn’t feel fair to be Hands or Johnny and lose a close encounter to Connie. So with that in mind, we felt this made sense for the characters size, attributes, etc.
Now when you enter a close encounter to fight back against the Family, you’ll be doing so from a more informed position on how risky that just might be, and whether or not you might want to avoid that encounter or jump in on the attack.”
