STAMFORD CT – October 2, 2024 – The Comic Mint is thrilled to announce they are expanding from a trusted comic retailer to publishing. Created by The Comic Mint owner, Steven Finkel, TCM Press will officially launch at New York Comic Con 2024 with three titles and four exclusive covers under the management of Editor-in-Chief, Murphey Luedke (Dream House Comics, Merc Publishing).
Developed by Steven Finkel and Tiago da Silva, the TCM Press flagship title is Silent Nights. Written by Dolan (Born of Blood, Notti & Nyce, Prey for the Sinner), illustrated by Omar Zaldivar (Coffin Comics, Zenescope), colored by Luiz Zavala (Marvel, Rocketship Entertainment) with editing by Aaron Sparrow (Darkwing Duck, Street Fighter, Kneel Before Doomface), this brand-new series kicks off with sex, drama, and brutal action from the very start.
The first issue is already complete and heading to Kickstarter with a strong artist roster including Tiago da Silva, John Royle, Ryan Kincaid, Gregbo Watson and more.
The second series coming to TCM Press takes a turn into historical fiction with Depths of Valor. Beautifully illustrated by Nathan Watson (BOOM! Studios, Zenescope, Lucasfilm Animation, Dreamworks), this story will toe the line between a modern mystery and historical drama when a Nazi U-boat is discovered off the coast of New Jersey. The creative team behind this action thriller will be signing at the TCM PRESS NYCC booth #3736 on October 18th and 19th.
Not only will TCM Press publish their own titles, but creator owned books will be considered as well. The first of these is by Silent Nights and Depths of Valor writer, Dolan. Unholy Nightmare was successfully funded on Kickstarter in October 2023 and will continue to publish under the TCM Press banner.
TCM Press is launching big at NYCC 2024 in booth #3736 with four exclusive variants featuring Tiago da Silva, Steven Defendini, Nate Watson and Ezequiel Dominguez. For those unable to attend, there is a limited pre-sale scheduled at thecomicmint.com on October 7th from 7 – 9 PM EST.
