Sensational 7

“Sensational 7” – 1st ISSUE
Comic featuring a never before seen superteam from the Silver Age of Comics

What if there had been three large superhero comic publishing companies since the 1940s? DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Standard Comics. What comics did you miss?

After the initial wave of superheroes of the 1940s, things died down for most costumed crime fighters during the 50s. The current mythology credits Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four” with revitalizing the genre, but I think it was DC’s Flash and Green Lantern, in the pages of “Showcase”, issues 4 and 22, respectively.

What if Standard Comics had gotten in on the the fun in the late ’50s with a new comic and their attempt to jump-start the concept of the superhero team that would come later with DC’s “Justice League”?

From the Back Issue Bin of a Parallel Universe!!

If you’re a fan of the Robert Kanigher/Carmine Infantino era of the Flash, John Broome/Gil Kane era of Green Lantern, and the early Gardner Fox/Mike Sekowsky Justice League of America, you should check out The Sensational 7 for a Silver-Age fix.

Combining my own original characters with updated public domain superheroes, this homage to the Silver Age of comics should satisfy the urge for comics like they used to make.

The mysterious creature known as The Eye assembles the era’s greatest superheroes (Hyperman, Yankee Girl, KnightShroud, the Mermazon, Duke of Darkness, and the Grey Lancer) to battle a seemingly unstoppable villain.

Find out who they fight in this action-packed Silver-Age style comic book, The Sensational 7 #1 “Power Play”!
