About the Creators
David Rubín is an animator and cartoonist. After studying graphic design, Rubín worked in an animation studio and went on to co-direct the film The Spirit of the Forest (2008). He’s the visionary creator behind The Hero and Beowolf, and co-creator and illustrator on Ether with Matt Kindt, Cosmic Detectivewith Matt Kindt and Jeff Lemire, Battling Boy: The Rise of Aurora West with Paul Pope and J.T. Petty, among others. He is a four time Eisner Award-nominee.
Craig Hurd-McKenney is a Xeric grant-awarded and Ignatz Award-nominated writer. He lives in Seattle with his husband and four rescue dogs. Online, he lives at hspcomix.com.
Noah Bailey is an illustrator and cartoonist from the Midwest, best known for the Dark Horse Comics/Comixology Originals graphic novels Tremor Doseand Double Walker (written by Michael W. Conrad), Wonder Woman: Black and Gold, and Diabolical!, his comix anthology magazine with Strangers Publishing.
Fernando Llor has been a comic book writer since 2014. He has published up to 18 different titles in Spain, France, the United States, and Portugal, including Ojos Grises (Panini), El Espíritu del Escorpión (Panini), La Confesión, (The Rocketman Project), Subnormal, Una Historia de Acoso Escolar (Panini), Plot Point (Nuevo Nueve/Retranca), and Humor Artificial (Dolmen). In recent years, he has accumulated different nominations for best national writer at the Carlos Giménez Awards in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He won the award for Best Spanish Writer at the José Sanchis Grau Awards in 2019 and the Splash Award for best script in 2021. He also received an honorable mention as Melhor Roteirista at the Bandas Desenhadas Awards in 2020. He is a founding member of Argh! The Professional Association of Comic Writers, and the Comic Industry Secretorial, and teaches script writing at O Garaxe Hermético in Pontevedra.
Carles Dalmau is a freelance illustrator best recognized for the vibrant and intricately detailed illustrations he uploads on his social media platforms. Specializing in a diverse range of mediums, from comics to concept art, Carles is the author of Lucid Lucy, Calamari Kebab, and the coauthor of Soma with Fernando Llor. He also works on the art for the hit video game Cult of the Lamb (Massive Monster Studios) and has collaborated with companies such as Disney, Netflix, Devolver Digital, and Supercell among others.
Matt Lesniewski is an Eisner Award–nominated writer and artist. His graphic novel The Freak from Adhouse Books was nominated for the Best Single Issue Eisner Award. He’s also worked for Dark Horse Comics on titles like Crimson Flower, MIND MGMT Bootleg with writer Matt Kindt, and Static, his second graphic novel. His most recent work for Oni Press is Faceless and the Family. |
