It is AD 2097 war has been returned to more hand to hand fighting making it more personal. Father Elano leads a strike team of warriors against those called Diggers who wish to live by the old ways. The Father and his men do take prisoners. God’s Mariners are shown as fighters.
Then we see a nun. She looks similar to Marilyn Monroe. This nun is no saint. She is a replika of Marilyn Monroe and there is also a replika of Jesus in this story but how he will fit in is something you will have to read more to find out about. Marilyn and Jesus who would have thought they would ever be together in one story.
The religious over tunes of the story is obvious. Where it is headed though is not.
There is a lot of build-up to the coming issues. Plus you get to see Marilyn topless.
