Comments: Alex Underwood works in Witness Aid Support and is there to help a victim of abuse. Myra’s husband a cop, Detective Blake Groves beat her severely.
Alex is drawn with beautiful blue eyes. The art has a subdued look to it which works so well here as things are happening and the story is slowly explaining itself.
As you read the story you cannot help but notice the bracelet on Alex’s arm.
Is Alex going crazy? Maybe? Is it something more? Maybe?
Alex is going through a lot. Also the Witchblade, the Artifact has changed so you are not dealing with exactly what you were before in previous comic books.
The smoke like effect around Alex as the Witchblade is active looks amazing.
as the Witchblade in Alex manifests it is unlike anything seen before in a Witchblade comic. You can just feel its power emanating from the page.
It is always great to see an abusive person get what they truly deserve.
This is a wonderful first issue to start a new adventure for the Witchblade and its host.
