The art style is a more mature look for the characters and a more realistic. The features are not as sharply defined as in the traditional style.
Veronica tells Reggie he is nice now you know something is off here. The town and the people are all acting so nice and everything is so perfect yet you get a few peeks at things that are just off. Magic is in use here and people are being made into their best selves. Happy smiling selves but that is not who they really are people have both good and bad in them and it is not right to separate and take out part of a person.
The story delivers a creepy atmosphere to it. You know something is off almost right away just not what. The story does build up some suspense and the reveal of what is behind this new version of Riverdale is a surprise.
This is a comic that will help to put you in the right mood for Halloween.
