Comments: A Nasa ship crash lands on Earth. This movie starts out as much a horror movie as anything else.
Eddie Brock is a reporter. His life now is going downhill.
Seeing a symbiote in a host killing is a terrifying sight. It does use its abilities in numerous ways.
Poor Eddy you will feel sorry for him. He is your average guy with average troubles. Then he starts to help a Doctor Skirth. One thing leads to another and Eddy finds he is not alone anymore. The two do work together in a high-speed chase that is thrilling and action-packed.
Without the ties to Spider-Man that the comics have, it does make the character different. You can tell by looking at him he is evil. Venom is evil but Eddy is not.
The way Venom talks to Eddy inside his head which is funny as you listen.
The whole hatred of Spider-Man is not here. It is a crucial part of Venom but it is easy to see why it was left out so the movie could focus on Venom.
The plot to this movie is something you might not be expecting. The Riot symbiote is a scary creature. now as Venom and Riot face off it is a battle of two frightening creatures that will cause you nightmares.
Venom is a creature who just wants to live his life and enjoy it.
Stan Lee’s appearance is great.
This movie skips a huge part of what made Venom Venom with no Spider-Man ties. There are things missing from it that do stand out a lot if you know the character if not you will not miss them.
Overall this is a great movie with lots of action and fighting. The character of Eddy/Venom is one that you will have to get used to if your a die-hard comic book fan and you will need to look at them as new characters not established ones.
So enjoy the movie and do not let Venom bite your head off.
