Comments: This comic focuses on the people around the monster. The monster himself seems like a secondary character. Doctor Henry Frankenstein and his fiance Elizabeth and friends Victor and Waldman are the main characters. Plus there is a little boy Paul who has been hanging around Henry’s lab.
The atmospheric setting fits the characters and story. The backgrounds are right on for the period.
Frankenstein’s monster is being mistreated simply because he is a monster. He reacts with violence and is greeted with violence too.
Henry’s fiance Elizabeth does love him.
The monster though has escaped and roams the countryside. Then the unthinkable happens and Henry’s life will never be the same.
This is a slow-paced story that uses drama and the building of each person’s character as it moves along.
Having the monster rarely scene does make you want to see it even more.
