Comments: “The Toxic Avenger: Major Disaster” Toxie is a messed up looking guy. Something known as the Discharge has infected the town. Toxie is fighting for its rights and to help them. Some company or government is responsible for a toxic spill. Looking back in time, we see Melvin’s transformation into the Toxic Avenger. He was a nice guy and still is, but things have changed. Melvin has become a big, muscled, toxic creature. He remains the same lovable guy.
This is the Toxic Avenger with toned-down violence for a PG rating. His almost blind girlfriend is cute.
This issue serves as a fun introduction to the character. There is not much action or story building, nor character development.
“That’s No Sock” A son, his friend, and his mother are in a car, and there is a foul smell. The two boys discover the cause. The story is short, only two pages. The art is good, but the story lacks direction. Though intriguing, it fails to go anywhere.
