Comments: Having a copy of the comic you read is a nice touch.
The members of the Thunder Guard do get a summons and they answer it. These six new members have been recruited into this organization. Major Payne is their field coordinator and drawn as one beautiful woman. She gives this team their first mission.
The characters themselves in this issue are not explored as there is no time for that. From what you see of them in action they have a variety of powers and abilities. Their personalities you learn very little about.
Thunder Woman, Captain Honduras, Realmerx, Vulcan, Singapore Sling and Meta make up this team and there are a few beautifully illustrated pin-ups in the back.
The team as a team faces its first threat in invading creatures from another place. There is lots of action and so many action poses all the superheroes are shown off.
The heroes act as heroes with no hesitation shown as they jump into the fray.
