Comments: Mark Scribner is a journalist and his dad was to. We see how journalists used to work and how a newsroom used to function.
For Mark his journalism career started early. He also found out reporting the truth can have consequences both bad and good.
With radio and TV newspapers declined and then with the internet even more so. Journalists were and are becoming obsolete. Mark does the best he can and you can feel the sadness in him for the disappearing world of professional journalism.
Mark now ends up taking a different approach to reporting the news. He does end up making tons of money and to keep that up he gets a second job. Mark has lost all sense of moral values and he does not even seem to notice. He acts like what he is doing is in no way wrong.
Mark makes the decision to slowly downsize. People though have noticed he has been up to things that he should not be. Now Mark has plans for how to spend the rest of his life. A simple life.
Mark had it all. Than things started to come apart. Mark found out he was vulnerable.
Mark now he comes across as just your ordinary average guy just what he is doing is not. He knows he is not a nice guy from what he does for a living yet personally he thinks he is a nice guy. Realistically he is a cold blooded killer. He is also one super intelligent man who knows how the system works. This book will have you wondering what is going on and what will happen next.
