Comments: The art style is a mess. A lot of the art is too dark to make out.
Val, a photographer in a strange city with strange people, is taken out into the woods by a group of musicians. The woods look spooky from the little that can be seen in the art. It seems as though Val is being used as some sort of sacrifice. Something weird happens to Val in the woods. Did a wood god bestow powers upon her? Did she really die? Who are these weird magicians? Where are they all? So many questions and no answers. Where is the story going?
The story comes across as a horror story unfolding, yet it needs a few clues as to what is going on. The people who talk without saying actual words are strange, but why are they doing so?
The comic is supposed to be a horror one, yet there are no frightening scenes, no suspense building. There may be a glimpse of some dark god in the forest, but that’s about it.
There is no character building. Val had a chance to be interesting, yet she was not.
