Comments: Kate Marsden a reporter is after a story that leads to Peru. She is following a killer who uses water to kill with by drowning. He may be Darwin Collier a ex marine.
So Kate following a lead heads off into the Peruvian jungle all on her own. She has problems yet she is armed and she is tough. The art shows a beautiful jungle and country side. Now while in the jungle she happens to see something lurking in it.
We get a great description of what it is like the drown. The writer does know exactly what he is talking about here.
As we glimpse the creature it stays in shadows so it is not fully revealed. The art on the creature as it stands revealed is perfect. This is exactly what you are expecting and you will not be disappointed. It is a creature but without evil or good looks and its intentions are not yet fully established.
For a first issue this does everything right. You get introduced to both the beauty and the beast.
