Comments: “Once We Were Heroes!” Here Pureheart is in a battle with Blue Light. Now as Archie wakes up things start going strange in his world and he just accepts it. Well, everything is explained and Imposter Syndrome ends up where he belongs. The story does have a way of poking fun at itself. The girls are cute and Pureheart has some big muscles. It is a fun entertaining story.
“the Burgarian” Jughead the Barbarian and his bird do have a conquer to conquer. They face the mighty wizard while two girls await the outcome. To the winner of the prize. Yes, the red-headed bird plays a part in this too. The Wizard is a poor thing and Jughead well he gets what he wants. This story is beautifully done in the traditional Archie art style.
“Operatives” Betty and Veronica are two of the top C.I.A. agents in the world. They have dressed the part in formal wear. The spy story is toned down as if they are teenagers which they are. The art is done in a slick style fitting for super spies but not for Archie characters.
These stories are wonderful as they show you familiar characters in unfamiliar situations and with slight character changes.
