Comments: The Phenomenal Gamma Ray Magic Specs are in an ad in an old comic book. Kenny and Ted are friends and Skunk a school bully decides to take the comic from Kenny.
Now the story takes some different turns one is Kenny if he had a wish his wish is a secret to his best friend Ted.
Kenny and Ted are shown as the best of friends. Both are willing to stand up for the other.
Now, something weird happens with the Phenomenal Gamma Ray Magic Specs showing up. Kenny and Ted have fun with the glasses as they try out their ability. These glasses are magical. The two boys have fun using them yet they do not abuse them.
The art is done in a style that makes the characters come across as ordinary people which is what they are.
Besides the specs besides being red nothing really stands out about them. Yet you do get a feeling of dread when you see them. You will know they are evil. Yet it is a nice quiet evil that just moves slowly along.
The whole story is subdued. The magic is low key nothing big happens until one thing does. Kenny and Ted are shown as friends throughout the book and they are both stand-up guys. Then the one wish is made and things change forever.
