Comments: Bangor, Maine July 4th, 2016 and the setting is bleak with a silence that you know is hiding something. One family has a son Danny who is very afraid. Sonny is shown in the dark where he blends in so well. Sonny is pure evil and we see him proving that.
Sonny is one doll you would not want to meet. The reader will get their fill of blood. The build-up of terror is well done. Sonny does come across as a not-as-good version of Chucky.
The black and white art works so well with the touches of red added to it. Danny is illustrated quite well as a little boy. Sonny looks as if he could be real and not just a doll.
We do get a lot of killing yet a little more information on Danny would be nice. The killings are brutal, but they would be more effective with a little finesse to them. At times the humor is tried to be added in it just does not work though.
Some more knowledge about Sonny is needed. What is he and why is he doing what he is? Why is he fixated on Danny? Lots of questions and no answers.
If you like seeing a doll murdering people just for the fun of it well this is for you.
