Comments: Sophie is a new intern at a news station. The station is way underfunded. Sophie is enthusiastic about life in general. This girl stands out among these newspaper people and she goes right to work immediately getting information.
Sophie also has a father who is in trouble with the law. She plans to clear his name.
Sophie finds herself getting more and more involved in the murder case. She and the old-timer Mr. Hal Ritzenhauser have been a reporter team up on this case. This story is going along as expected and then everything turns down an unexpected trail. Sophie finds herself in a high-speed chase.
Sophie is on to something big. She is a teenage sleuth and stubborn enough to never give up. The action revs up and the excitement is off the scale as Sophie and her brother try to survive.
The scoop the newspaper gets with Sophie and Hal is not fully explained and it does not have an ending here. Sophie’s investigation as well is still open. The mysteries are good just a little more knowledge of what is going on would be nice too.
The art gorgeously presents these characters as realistic. The mysterious energy cylinder is illustrated to make you wonder what it is.
Sophie is one cute spunky girl who gets things done.
