Comments: “The Longest Night” Sabrina must find Ali a girl who was taken. Ali is in another dimension. Sabrina has a plan and she has help. The creature who took Ali is bat-like. Sabrina seems to have thought of everything yet the experience is scary for the others involved. Sabrina uses Solstice to help out. In the bat creatures dimension it is night yet in the regular world well it is nice and bright. Sabrina proves a good friend and that she knows her stuff.
The art is done for an all-ages audience. There is nothing at all scary about the story in art or writing.
“A Very Spellman Solstice” This story is about sisterly love and family. Hilda does lack confidence. Hilda does bring her grandmother back and this grandmother is out to cause major trouble. Hilda is all about family so she trusted her grandmother. Zelda and others did warn her. The dead can not be trusted.
Here we learn how Sabrina’s parents got together. It is romantic. Yes, a witch and a human can and do fall in love.
Here we see how much family matters. Even the strongest magic pales in comparison the love.
The art is done in a style that does not bring out the character’s personalities, the writing though does bring them out. There is some real emotion in this second story.
