Comments: This story takes place in Colorado Territory in the year 1868. A young girl is attacked. U.S. Marshal Sedgwick has been tracking Ezekiel Wilkens who has been attacking others as well.
The Marshal has been tracking Zeek for a while since he was turned. He knows what he is and knows he has to be stopped. Yet the first time he had that chance he showed mercy. Others have paid the price of that mercy and it haunts the Marshal.
There are so many mysteries here and twists and turns yet it is all woven together to present a tale of terror. Innocents are endangered, creatures of the night attack and death is on the move. The story leads you down one path and then another. You are left wondering what next?
There are some very brutal scenes of death, which are not for the faint of heart.
The Marshal and Zeek do have a strange relationship going. You are left wondering which one is more of a monster.
