Comments: Mel finds Jessie in a cemetery and both sit upon a bench. Now as Mel bleeds out something truly amazing happens between these two. It is kind of explained but not fully so you have an idea of what is happening but are still left with questions.
Jessie and Mel certainly hit it off well neither one really had a choice. Now Jessie is a want-a-be super-hero in training. Her new costume is a bit too complicated in design yet it is still ok on her.
This book leads to the birth of a new superhero and it is done in such a way to give the story and characters a more realistic feel.
The chemistry between the older veteran super-hero and the new up and coming in training one is beautifully done.
Mel was forced into this situation yet she still makes the best of it. Jessie is still just looking at the exciting parts while Mel knows all about the darker side to come for Jessie.
This issue leaves some questions to be answered and it introduces the readers to the main characters. It is overall well presented.
Jessie provides hope for herself, for Mel and for others.
