Comments: Alize Ashe is a Princess and she meets a desert elf called Shield. We see a tie in with another Princess book. Desert elves do have a unique gift to help them against those who would hurt them.
The art is lacking at times not drawing the faces of the characters and just leaving their faces a blank. Most times the Princess Alize is drawn in a nice simple style that brings across her personality as a nice common person. The Sphinx is interestingly drawn as a creature of myth with a threatening disposition to any Princes who may come along.
In this story, Alize shows us her true nature. She faces danger and even death for someone in need of help. A stranger and she does so of her own free will. Alize faces certain death. She does so on her own and alone. This little Princess is brave beyond words.
Prince Ammar is lucky enough to join Princess Alize and you can feel the love start to grow between these two. They may be young but they are determined.
Alize does not need a Prince but she does want one. It is wonderful to see true love bloom.
