Comments: Ursus was brought up to hate humans and that the only good human was a dead human. Ursus is far more intelligent than your average gorilla or ape.
Ursus and Zaius have a mutual love/hate relationship going.
The apes those who know fear the talking humans. Dr. Zaius knows just how dangerous humans can be.
The art seems to go back and forth, when focused on Ursus it comes across as bold but on Zaius it is more soft, mellow.
This issue offers a deep look inside General Ursus and what makes him who he is. It is not hate that motives him but love. His lost love, the love of his life. How his life would be different if only things had turned out differently. You will feel sad for this hard soldier.
