Comments: The bloody roses do present some beautiful art. Also, we see a man remembering his wife. Jason so loves Grace. Jason now is a solder on an alien planet. We see him going to a base on this alien planet. The base is attacked and Jason he attacks back. His guns are big and powerful. Jason may be way outnumbered but he is not out powered. The bombs falling are illustrated in a way to let you know they are going to cause massive damage.
The art is bloody and it shows you there is power here. It is done in the style of Simon Bisley.
This issue does not tell us a lot or explain much. Who is Jason and why should we care about him? Who are the soldiers he is killing? Why is Jason the way he is? How did he get to this alien planet? So many unanswered questions which might be answered in later issues or a collected work. Just not here.
This is a good start with the art in it and the character is one who is likable. We just need to know more.
