Comments: Brie is a writer and she likes girls. She has all the normal fears of a teenager as well. Then add to that her family might be moving, so new school, leaving all her friends.
Brie stumbles across a new book store and it is love at First Sight. The owner’s name is Ambrose he comes across as a nice guy. Brie gets a nice pen for writing from Ambrose. He is inspiring her to write as well.
Brie does write and then sleeps and when she wakes up the most amazing thing has happened. Brie somehow enters her own stories.
In one story she is a Queen. Her ex-best friend Viv is also in the story. Viv split them apart but here maybe they are becoming friends again. Teen drama with a magical mix.
Next Brie is the Captain of a ship. Brie does start out having a fun adventure. Then it turns into being all about her parents. They were wrong in how they were treating her.
The different styles of art for each story Brie has written work well.
Brie’s last story which deals with her teen problems as well takes place in olden times. Here Brie goes on a date of sorts with Kay the girl she like likes. Brie and Kay look so good together dancing. They make a nice couple.
Then Brie and Kay are back home in the real world. Brie confronts an eternal God. Brie has learned how to stand up and do what’s right for her and she does just that.
This is a coming-of-age young reader book that beautifully depicts problems any high school student could have. Brie learns so much here and moves forward with her life.
