Comments: Horatio Hellpop is Nexus. He and his friends are enjoying a nice quiet game of golf. He acts and looks just like an ordinary guy. On Ylum Horatio is an ambassador trying to bring peace to the universe. He is getting people to work together.
The Krug is a threat. It consumes planet so Nexus is going to check it out. Nexus is smart before he faces the Krug he finds out everything he can about it. Whether the Krug is intelligent or not no one knows.
The characters in Nexus are unique they are unlike anything you will see in other comics. They are contributing to the story. Even a fun blob of ooze. Plus a garden nome character, and many others.
The art is exemplary. Nexus is shown as a man but also as a hero. This issue sets up the story wonderfully filling in all you need to know yet leaving some mystery.  The characters are all illustrated to show off their uniqueness.
Nexus faces a great threat to life on a planetary scale. What can he do? He stands ready to do whatever it takes.
