Comments: Harold Harrington is having a bad day and late at night a gang of thugs find him. He needs a hero and Shakalla shows up. He is first shown in a dramatic pose ready to strike. The fighting shows this man to have skill. The action is hard-hitting and exciting. Shakalla does not speak English so they use pointing and signs to talk. He learns quickly. He is intelligent as well as skilled.
Harold and Shakalla hit it off and Harold takes him home. Harold’s neighbor Yolanda finds out about Shakalla and Harold and her teach Shakalla about the modern world. Shakalla knows what to do if someone is in trouble and that is to act to help them.
Shakalla is after an evil wizard from his time he will not stop until he finds him. While looking if he comes across any crimes being committed he acts. He was stopping evil wherever it surfaced. This black warrior has a good heart and a strong, skilled body.
The story is fun to follow along. Harold is just your average guy. He is a good man and wants to help Shakalla. When Shakalla finds his evil Wizard what is next for them? Shakalla does provide for Harold and himself somehow. That is a mystery.
This issue has a good story, and good art which makes for a great comic.
