Comments:  As we start off the art is in black and white. There is a nice amount of detail in the drawings. The girls are drawn cute and April even has a touch sexuality to her. Mal and Molly are shown in love. The camp is illustrated lovely showing the girls in camp activities. Jo shows enthusiasm as Jen their camp counselor teaches the girls about Orienteering.
April meets a robot that serves tea and scones. It has a nice simple design to it. There are more too.
The girls had no plans of having a mysterious adventure yet they just seem to follow them around.
Dame Henrietta Boniface Nibley is behind all the weirdness in the forest. She is an explorer and the compass is hers yet it is no ordinary compass it is the Infernal Compass.
Mal and Molly share their first kiss. The two girls do make a lovely couple.
It is cute the way Ripley uses a panel line to hold onto in one scene. A fourth wall breakthrough that you will miss if you’re not paying attention. Is there even a reason for it being there or did the artist just throw it in for fun?
Lumberjanes are what you want all young girls to be strong, independent, caring, resourceful, they belong and know their places in this crazy world. These girls are perfect role models.
