Comments: Smash Brannagan is shown training hard to get back in shape and better than before. He has become a lot tougher.
Smash is ready for action and he gets a mission. He also changes that mission. His friend is in deadly danger. His mission was to kill her. He makes his own mission. Is this where Anthony truly dies and Smash is born? Smash is shown clearly losing all hope for his future. He loses all hope of him and Melanie.
The art is well used in the fight scenes. The fight scenes are illustrated with a brutality that will have you wincing in pain.
A lot of this issue is spent on Smash recovering and then training. So it moves slowly through that. His mission though is emotional until he makes it not so. Until Smash cuts his ties to his past life and he knows that he is now and forever Smash Brannagan.
