Comments: Howard and his mother visit his father in the asylum. It is a dark and creepy place. Howard’s father is obsessed with something dark and ominous.
The lighting at times is too dark to fully make out the people and backgrounds. Overall the animation is well done. All the characters look amazing.
As Howard reads from a book his life takes a turn into something else. When we see Howard in the Frozen Kingdom at first the landscape looks amazing. It is so beautifully designed. Howard dressed in black stands out. He meets Spot there. Spot is one big creature.
Howard meets a kind family in the frozen waste and they offer him hospitality. They are a cute looking family.
Howard and Spot playing is such fun to watch. They do form a bond. as they travel they find a Castle with a Queen.
Howard has faith in his friendship with Spot. Even dark ancient magic cannot come between them. The final battle has monsters, soldiers and magic in abundance. Howard though does step up and proves his courage.
Howard does have the adventure of a lifetime.
