Comments: Boston, Massachusetts is a dark setting as a funeral is taking place. Seven half-siblings meet for the first time: Dominic, Madison, Argyle, Romy, Luna, Britton, and Jerold. Their father left them a debt of the supernatural kind. Each of his children has a gift. Their gifts are different for each sibling.
The siblings are asked to take over their father’s debts for these gifts. Their reaction is not what was wanted from a monster there to collect. The siblings want nothing to do with him and leave. You just know things are not going to stop here. The atmosphere of evil is too strong in the air.
Having demons after you is not fun. Having demonic powers though could be.
The demons are not clearly shown because of how darkly the art is and that gives them some mystery along with the evil presence.
This issue is a great introduction one you meet the main characters and learn a little about each. You see the villain and are shown just how evil he is.
These seven people are in for the fight of their lives if they survive it.
