What Is Greek Mythology?
Here you are introduced to there being Gods and Goddesses. They are just beings with powers and they are family who fights among themselves. They live, love, and fight just like ordinary people.
This is an insightful look at these beings that may have existed or may still yet.
PART 2
The Olympians
Beings of power in ancient times existed and roamed the land. Gods and Goddesses existed in a large variety. They were not very nice especially Zeus the King of the Gods.
The art throughout this book gorgeously portrays all the characters. There were Gods and Goddesses for everything from life to death and everything in between.
Here too you will be educated and learn more about these mythological figures than you knew existed.
As you read through it is mentioned several times to see some other entry. This happens a lot too much in fact. It is unnecessary.
PART 3
Deities, Etc
Here we look at the non Gods yet those more than mortal. Females were portrayed in a nonflattering way.
The animal depictions here are stunning. They are truly a thing of beauty.
PART 4
Heroes and Mortals
Not all heroes act completely as you might expect them to. Heracles or Hercules is illustrated as a muscular person. He faced Hera’s wrath.
There are so many characters in Greek Mythology. Each one gets a short write-up here telling you the main things of interest about them.
This book makes a great introduction to ancient Greek Mythology and even those who know more about it will find this look at it new and full of insightful views. As well the art is beautifully done and presents the various Gods and their children in colorful illustrations that are sure to capture your eye.
