Comments: Ming is a prisoner of the Empress and his only hope is Flash Gordon. On Mongo now Flash is known as the Killer of Mongo. It would be nice to have the how and why of how he became known as that.
As the prisoners attack Flash he is rescued by a repair android. This android can do a lot more then repair. It is a lot more then just some robot to. Flash, Ming, Daranek and this android do make a daring escape from Planet Death.
The Empress arrives and she does have a presence. She does come across as an evil replacement for Ming. Her rule seems absolute. Her goal to capture Flash. The couple illustrations of her are wonderful in bringing across her personality.
The android and who he really is is the best part of this story. The melding of mind and body here has produced a hybrid. The action shown does have a gory affect yet it could be more fast paced.
Both Flash and Ming were not used much in this issue. Both spend most of their time just hanging around. Neither are illustrated that well so you notice them. The action shown could be better illustrated and it lacks excitement.
Flash Gordon what is next for him?
