Comments: “Love Evernever” Evelyn Evernever has a nice creepy build-up. The story certainly gets you hooked and ready for something to happen. The ending though is a letdown as it just ends. The art is fitting for the style of the story as it brings across that things are creepy here.
“Ch3ryl” Midge gets a new BBF only it’s a robotic doll. This is a play on a recent movie. Midge’s sadness is easy to see here and she does want a BBF. Yes, Midge finds out her new BBF is better off not being in her life she is better with real-life people. Ch3ryl is one crazy machine and she gets jealous fast.
“Keeps on Giving Killing” Chester Plunkett is a mad doctor’s assistant. This Doctor Doom is a toymaker too and well he made a cute Archie doll that is not so cute after all. Chester is a great character who takes advantage of an opportunity.
The stories do tie into each other. The movies M3gan and Child’s Play are used to base these stories on. Evelyn thinks of herself as the one in control here and she is out to get even for all her mistreatment. All she wanted was a friend. Well, now she has some. Mad Doctor Doom is not as mad as he should be. Chester maybe should be called Mad Doctor Plunkett.
These are good short tales to get you ready for Halloween.
