Comments: Mickey and his friend Goofy are performing the Divine Comedy. They get tricked into thinking they are really Dante and Virgil.
Somehow through magical or imaginary means Mickey and Goofy end up in the Inferno and living Dante’s Inferno. Their travels take them through each section of Hell.
The art is beautifully done just that it is not done in a funny vein. It looks serious for these two travelers and all those they encounter. They make their way through each section of the Inferno.
The different section of the Inferno are all very different and the art shows each part off to good effect.
Lots of Disney characters pop up throughout the journey. All are wonderfully illustrated.
Dante’s Inferno is beautifully interpreted using Mickey and Goofy in place of Dante and Virgil.
The subject matter does not really seem to fit the characters from Disney.
Mickey and Goofy though do have a way of getting your attention no matter what situation they are in or where.
