Comments: Chantal and Abiona are described in extreme detail as they have an erotic encounter. Everything is going great for these two women and then Chantal does something unthinkable.
The ELE is a type of police force for the world. They can pretty much do as they please. The book does talk about them a lot yet says very little. We get to meet four of them.
Tim and Abiona who is a mysterious woman do have a get-together. What exactly is going on between them is unsure. What their significance to the story is unknown. The interaction between these two goes go on for a long time as they hang out. The book does drag it out going into lots of detail that are not really needed.
Tim becomes Abiona’s delivery boy. As Tim works he grows and becomes a major player in the criminal underworld.
Then we skip to an assassin Hitaru and it goes on and on about how he is the best in the world. This part goes on and on as he plans his assassination.
Several different things are going on and they each seem completely separate from the others. It is like reading a different book.  Finally, near the end of the book, things start to come together a little.
The ending of the book goes back to the start. Ari is fighting Gai’ill not sure exactly what he and his assistant are supposed to be. Ari it turns out has all sorts of augmentations that help him in a fight.
All the story in the middle seems like a totally different book and does not tie in at all.
The overly describing details throughout the book would be better replaced with building characters by describing the people more and using descriptions to build up suspense and drama.
Ari and Adian do come across as a good team.
This book is part one so hopefully, part two will tie a lot of what happens here together.
