Comments: Buffy meets Xandar and Willow for the first time here. Yes, it is while slaying a vampire. The action as Buffy does so is done in a calm way that still keeps it looking deadly which it is for the vamp.
Buffy makes two new friends in Xander and Willow you can just see the bonding starts. Giles is still learning how to deal with a teenage girl. Not to mention the fact she is a Slayer.
Buffy may be the Slayer but she is also a teenage girl. She wants a life that is hers and not just doing what everyone tells her to or expects her to.
In the graveyard at night, we see Buffy shine until something unusual happens.
Mysterious things are happening in this town.
The vampires are scary things and some more than others. The art lets you know these creatures are evil and dangerous. Buffy is illustrated as a beautiful teen and one with an edge to her.
This is a good starting issue that introduces the characters and sets up for future issues.
Vampires beware the Slayer is in town.
