Comments: “Chapter 1 – The Cure”
There is a drug on the streets called Zapping.
Banjax had one hard childhood. Growing up on the streets he sees the evil that men do. He defends the innocent and helpless. He even gets a supervillain to battle. Laird Mason aka Banjax fought hard against crime. Then he enjoys the benefits of being famous just he enjoys them too much.
The story does jump around in time a lot but it is told in a way that you can still follow it pretty well. Laird lives the life of a super-hero and as such in his civilian identity he is unappreciated.
Laird meets Abel Raines he trains him and they become partners in fighting crime. It is a match made in heaven.
This comic gives you a realistic look at a super-heroes life and how it can change. Laird is old school while Abel embraces the new.
Changes in Laird’s life take him back to the way he was at the beginning. Abel though has reached for the future. Abel still respects Laird and is there for him.
Banjax is a hero who has fallen. Heroes are just ordinary people as we see here with ordinary problems just like you and me.
