Comments: “The Anthill…and the Apocalypse!”
This story is so much fun to read. Here Hank Prym has created a helmet that gives him abilities. He can shrink and talk with ants. The villain he gets to face is Psycho-Man.
The interaction between the ants and Hank is so much fun to follow along with. Where but here will you see singing ants. Here too we see Hank is not so much a genius as he is lucky. Which is a disappointment.
The ants’ personalities are beautifully done. They make this story so entertaining. The art style gives the story an uplifting feel. Here we see the birth of a super-hero.
“On the Job”
Marko, an out of work man, does try to get an honest job. Marko aka the Sandman does want to go straight just things do not work out for him. Meanwhile, Hank has Janet Van Dyne falling for him, lucky guy.
Ant-Man is going into action. The ants that work with him have unique personalities and each one has its own name. They have personalities just like people.
Now the fight breaks out and its Ant-Man vs Sandman. This battle does not go how you might expect it to. Our hero does use his brain to come up with an inventive way to battle Sandman.
The interaction of Ant-Man and the ants just makes this comic shine. This is Ant-Man at his best.
