Gold uses a machine to give super powers to a super powered man which has super results. Cement gets stronger. There is a side effect though. The machine is dangerous and unpredictable.
Canuck does have quite the adventure time hopping. He meets aliens and his enemy Gold and manages to come out ahead. As he settles into being back home with his friends Captain Canuck gives you the impression that he is a super-hero yes but foremost he is just a guy being what he thinks is best for his country.
Captain Canuck is a hero who is just a normal man who does the extra normal.
